Puerto Vallarta charities are always in need of support from those of us who love this community. Please do what you can to help out. There are many of these wonderful organizations in need of supplies, donations and volunteers. Also, don't forget about the orphanages who provide a loving stable environment for abandoned children.
The following video by Casa Jojo's Foundation was my inspiration to build this page. This is an amazing Puerto Vallarta charity. They provide many essential needs and toys for the kids living at the dump around Christmas time. Yes, sadly enough, many families do live at the dump...
Volunteers and donations are always welcome. You can be a part of the real meaning of Christmas to give and to share with others in need. This organization has taken on a very special person known as the Puerto Vallarta Taco Lady.
The International Friendship Club is another group that was started by a handful of Canadian and American Expats. Their mission is to provide aid to needy children and families . They also contribute and share their resources with many other Puerto Vallarta charities in the region.
You can become a member of this group by paying annual dues. For more information or to make a donation of clothes, medical supplies, books, etc...please visit the International Friendship Club website.
Families at the Dump is another wonderful Puerto Vallarta charity. They have worked very hard so that families no longer have to live at the dump. Families can now live on Hope Road which is at the base of the landfill.
They strive to provide education, medical support and food in an effort to help families find a better way of life. They are always looking for donations and volunteers. See the video below.
Children of the Dump makes sure every kid gets the opportunity to go to school and gets to have at least one balanced meal per day at school. They have taken on a huge project called the home building project. If you think you could volunteer to help build a home please contact them via the link above.
Oasis provides basic necessities to Puerto Vallarta's poorest neighborhoods and street kids. Donations are always welcome. They are needing clothing, shoes, food, school supplies and toys. You can contact them at this email, email@example.com
Another one of the Puerto Vallarta charities is Casa Hogar Orphanage. This is a Christian run orphanage that provides shelter for up to 43 children at a time. They have many wonderful programs that you can volunteer for and donate to including the rice and beans program, Salvation Army, Casa Hogar and the Cleft Palate Program. To volunteer or donate to any of these programs contact firstname.lastname@example.org
R.I.S.E Orphanage is run by Catholic Nun's. Five of them live here full time. They are in need of many basic items. Look on their Item Donations Page for supplies needed. Visiting the children and volunteering is always welcome as well. In fact, they rely heavily on volunteers to help things run smoothly.
Pasitos de Luz is part of The Children's Center of Hope. They provide many services to families of children with severe disabilities. Including a free daycare from 7am to 7pm. Although they do get some government funding, it is not enough to provide all the services that they offer. During the year, they hold fundraisers to help fund their programs.
Casa Roma, started by a Canadian couple runs a school program for the children of Puerto Vallarta. This Canadian couple goes out of their way to make sure that there is going to be a future for these kids. They even hold pizza parties every Wednesday for the kids.
CompassioNet Impact helps out people living in chronic poverty to change their lives for the better. This organization helps out in emergencies with food, clothing and medicine. They also have a mobile book bus and teach English and computer classes.
If I have missed any Puerto Vallarta charities or your organization would like to be added to this page, please feel free to contact me and I will add your information free of charge.
I hope each and every one of you can find it in your heart to donate something or visit an orphange or volunteer some of your time for these worthy causes in Puerto Vallarta.
