There are eight fabulous Puerto Vallarta golf courses to choose from while on your next trip or vacation.
Because this is a popular tourist destination, golfing in Vallarta can be expensive. Prices vary from ninety five dollars US per person up to approximately two-hundred dollars US per person.
Some courses charge extra fees for club rentals, storing clubs and even having somebody with you who is not golfing.
Puerto Vallarta features a Championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus at the Vista Vallarta. This course is highly rated with challenging streams running through it. There are elevation changes as well as some jungle, course grass and trees. The views from the Vista Vallarta Nicklaus Golf Course are amazing. It is very well kept and excellent for a seasoned golfer to play.
The Vista Vallarta Weiskopft Golf Course shares the same buildings as the Nicklaus Golf Course. This golf course offers a beautiful view with no big water hazards and has a few small streams running through it. It is also a top rated course which will challenge your skill set and emotions. Both Vista Vallarta courses are best suited for experienced golfers.
El Tigre Golf Course is located at Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta. This course is very forgiving and offers a challenging round of golf for novices. The Marina Vallarta Golf Course is very popular year round especially during peak season.
The Flamingos Golf Course is about a thirty minute taxi ride from Puerto Vallarta. It was the first golf course in Puerto Vallarta. It is very large and is sprawled out over seventy two acres. It has been upgraded over the years and offers something for even the worst golfer as well as golfers looking for a challenge. Flamingos Golf Course is a good value for your money. Many hotels and resorts offer bus or shuttle service out to the Flamingos.
The last Puerto Vallarta golf course is The Mayan Palace Golf Club. They offer superb service at mid range prices. Winding through a tropical forest and glimmering lagoons, seasoned golfers will find a true challenge here. Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy opened its doors here the summer of 2012.
